Astragalus tenellus (Looseflower Milkvetch)

Astragalus tenellus has white flowers in loose racemes. Leaflets are narrow and spread out along the rachis. Pods are about 1/2-inch long and flat. Pods are often mottled with dark red, though the plant in the photo lacks this characteristic. Mature pods turn black. Plants also have black stipules at the base of the lower leaves.
