Senecio wootonii
has a single row of phyllaries surrounding the flower head, as is typical of all
Senecio spp.. Leaves usually have small teeth and long petioles with
wings, or leafy tissue giving them a flattened appearance. Plants grow to a height
of about 20 inches. Senecio wootonii is found on dry mountain sites.
